My dear friends, due the the fact that I was sick and confined to my bed for a few weeks due to my Fibromyalgia, I was not able to renew the ForBodyAndSoul.net Domain.
I find out that the domain is available still, but GoDaddy.com wants to charge me a Internal Redemption Fee of $80 on top of my Domain Renewal Fee, $10.69, for holding my domain for a few days. I don’t think this is fair. Specially when I have been a client for so many years.
I did not requested them for that service, but I guess they know that the client could have a sentimental value for his/her domain.

I will let ForBodyandSoul.net go, because I found this an unfair practice, specially when I did not request to have my domain name on hold.
I just went and see if it was still available to re-purchased it, found out they were holding it for me and want to charge me $80.00 for that. Amazing!
I will continue hosting my blog here in ByeHost.com. they have been an amazing company. And hey! They host my blog for free!

Hello my dear friends!

The past couple of months I went through a very stressful period that made me re-evaluate life.

My Doctor found a lump on my left breast, this put  so much stress and sadness in my family. Finally, this past Monday we had all required labs and test done, I am glad to inform it was not cancer!  I am so happy for life.  How many blessings I have in my life!

It is because of this I decided to make changes to my blog.  Now, I want to live more and enjoy life to the fullest, you never know when this journey on earth will end, so I will continue to ride this wave good!

I will be doing more fun things,  I will continue to rate products and tell you about my hair (LOL), BUT…I will spice things up. I will take my camera out with me and document fun and crazy times. I will also take my camera to the kitchen and share with you my other passion, cooking.  This will be so much fun!

I will bring you more live…So get ready!

Looking for a cheap flat iron that will heat up to 450 to do my Brazilian Keratin Treatment at home, I came a cross a Belson AccuSilver flat iron on sale for $24.99 at Sally’s Beauty Supply store.

All I wanted was a flat iron for the treatment, since I already have my MaxiGlide for regular styling.

My Maxiglide broke last week (after 5 years of loyal use). So I wanted to go to dinner and wear my hair straight. I wanted to give the Belson Iron a try.

The hair came out shiny, soft  and full of body!  The use was a breeze, the iron glided softly.

Then this last weekend I wanted to play around and create soft body waves to my hair, to give it a romantic look. Since my hair is air drying in a soft wave, I did not have to put the iron in a hight heat setting,  all I wanted was to make those waves a little bit more full of body and bounce on the ends. I was surprised of what this flat iron could do, and the shine was incredible

For months I have been reading about the famous Brazilian Keratin Treatment, but after the disaster I suffered from the Liquid Keratin Treatment I was very skeptical. So I waited months and spent hours researching this miracle treatment.

I frequent a beauty forum called NaturallyCurly.com and most of the product reviews there are sincere. (Apart from the ones from “members” being paid to create a buzz on a product, but it is easy to tell the fake posters apart from the regular and real ones. After viewing before and after photos of many ladies on the NaturallyCurly.com community who had this done, I was sold.

I called many salons to research the cost of this treatment, most started from $500.00, and I know after they see the hair they need to work with my bill will run up (talking from experience, there will be always something that will make the bill go up)

So I opted to do it myself!

I purchased all the required materials and the Brazilian Keratin product. I will not go into details about the procedure since you can find it allover YouTube.com, but I will go straight into the results.

While I was flat ironing this treatment on my hair, I could tell this was going to work. Th ehair was pin straight.  After the treatment was done, I had to wait the required 4 days of no Shampoo, no water, sweat on  my hair, no pony tails, no putting hair behind ears, etc. This 4 days were the longest. I was so desperate to see the final results.

As soon as the 4th day arrived, I washed my hair with a Sulfate free/sodium chloride free  shampoo and conditioner. I let it air dry ( wanted to see how my texture has changed) and OMG!! It dried with no curl, and no frizz, the texture changed to a very soft wave, with lots of body and shine!!

Then I flat ironed my hair. It took me only about 15 minutes to flat iron my hair, with no effort. This seemed to bring out MORE the shine of my hair.

I went outside to give it the ultimate test, the humid Floridian weather. Yes, the one that has been destroying my hair! It was raining for the past days so the humidity was to its fullest. I went outside, walked my dogs, worked the garden and did many wonderful things. When I came in went back to my mirror, and I could not believe my eyes! Hair was still frizz free, and shiny. It looked even better than right after I finish the flat iron.

My hair have now lots of movement, shine, and I can’t stop touching it, because it is so soft!
